These Artist Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in artist-facing opportunities, bookings, education, and representation through City Lights Beauty Agency, LLC (“City Lights,” “Agency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting an application, accepting assignments, or working with City Lights, you (“Artist,” “you”) agree to these Terms.

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

Artists engaged by City Lights operate as independent contractors, not employees, partners, or agents. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship.

2. Non-Exclusive Engagement

Artist participation is non-exclusive. Artists may work independently or with other entities, provided such work:

Does not interfere with City Lights assignments

Does not create a conflict of interest

Does not involve misuse of City Lights’ proprietary information or clients

All City Lights bookings and client interactions must be handled exclusively through the Agency.

3. No Guaranteed Work or Income

City Lights does not guarantee:

Bookings or frequency of work

Specific rates or income

Client demand or business growth

All opportunities depend on client needs, availability, performance, and market conditions.

4. Professional Standards

Artists must:

Arrive 15–30 minutes early to all assignments

Maintain a polished appearance aligned with a luxury brand

Act with professionalism, discretion, and courtesy

Avoid sensitive or controversial topics during assignments

Refrain from alcohol, recreational substances, or impairing medications while working

Failure to meet standards may result in removal from assignments or termination.

5. Sanitation & Safety

Artists are required to uphold the highest sanitation standards, including:

Proper disinfection of tools between clients

Use of disposable applicators where required

Clean, organized, professional kits

Compliance with OSHA, CDC, and state regulations

Violations may result in termination and liability for damages.

6. Tools, Supplies & Insurance

Artists must:

Provide and maintain a professional-grade kit

Carry general and professional liability insurance

Minimum: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate

Provide proof of insurance upon request

Failure to maintain insurance may result in termination.

7. Performance & Liability

Artists are responsible for delivering services consistent with City Lights’ luxury brand standards.
If Artist conduct results in:

Client dissatisfaction

Cancellations

Refunds or chargebacks

Reputational damage

The Artist may be held financially responsible for losses, including replacement costs and associated fees.

8. Missed Assignments & Emergencies

If unable to fulfill an assignment, Artist must:

Notify City Lights immediately

Assist in sourcing an approved replacement

City Lights retains sole approval over replacements.

9. Social Media & Brand Representation

Artists agree to:

Tag @citylightsbeauty on Agency-related content

Refrain from disparaging the Agency, clients, or team

Obtain written permission before using Agency client images independently

10. Intellectual Property

Content captured during City Lights assignments may be used by the Agency for marketing, branding, training, and promotional purposes. Artists may not distribute Agency-related content without approval.

11. City Lights Certified Program & Representation

Participation in City Lights Certified programs or Agency-hosted artist profile pages is optional and subject to Agency discretion.

Agency Artist Pages:

Are curated and controlled by City Lights

Do not guarantee bookings or exclusivity

May be modified or removed at any time

Artists may alternatively list City Lights Beauty Agency as their representing agency on their own professional website, subject to approval and visibility requirements.

12. Payment & Documentation

Artists must submit:

Government-issued ID

W-9 form

Approved payout method

Payments are issued based on completed services, client confirmation, and compliance with standards. City Lights may delay or withhold payment if contractual obligations are not met.

13. Confidentiality

Artists must keep all Agency business information confidential, including:

Client lists

Pricing

Contracts

Internal processes

Confidentiality obligations survive termination.

14. Non-Solicitation & Non-Circumvention

Artists may not:

Solicit City Lights clients independently

Circumvent the Agency for direct bookings

Engage in backdoor agreements

Clients may request Artists through City Lights for future services.

Violations may result in termination, forfeiture of compensation, and liquidated damages.

15. Termination

City Lights may terminate Artist participation immediately for:

Breach of Terms

Unprofessional conduct

Poor client feedback

Sanitation or insurance violations

Either party may terminate voluntarily if no assignments are pending.

16. Indemnification

Artists agree to indemnify and hold harmless City Lights Beauty Agency from claims arising from Artist actions, negligence, or misconduct.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes shall be resolved through mediation, then binding arbitration in Florida if necessary.

18. Acceptance

By submitting an application or working with City Lights Beauty Agency, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Artist Terms & Conditions.
